BMO Bank of Montreal Opens New Branch in Guelph-Open Seven Days a Week

- New BMO branch represents a $1.5 million investment in the community

- Offering customers extended banking hours, including Saturdays and Sundays

- 'Making Money Make Sense' in eight different languages

GUELPH, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 17, 2012) - BMO Bank of Montreal today announced the opening of its new Gordon & Clair full-service branch in Guelph, located at 3 Clair Road East.

The new branch offers customers extended banking hours, seven days a week, and is designed to provide a great banking experience through a variety of financial services and conveniences, including:

  • A coin counter - a simple-to-use kiosk which counts your loose change;
  • Electronic vault attendant (self-serve safety deposit box);
  • Services provided in eight different languages;
  • Access to commercial account and deposit services;
  • Two ATMs - including a drive-thru ATM;
  • Barrier-free access.

"We are excited to be opening the doors to our new Gordon & Clair branch," said Tammy Hewitt, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal. "We encourage new and existing members of the community to come in and speak with our team about all of their personal finance and investment needs."

Ms. Hewitt added that BMO continues to develop innovative services and products to help clients make money make sense. Most recently, BMO InvestorLine, BMO's online brokerage, introduced adviceDirect, a new and personalized service that provides investing advice to online investors. The first service of its kind in Canada, adviceDirect puts investors in control by providing specific investment recommendations to help them manage their portfolios and by validating their investment decisions.

BMO's new Gordon & Clair branch extended hours of operation are:

  • 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Wednesday;
  • 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday;
  • 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday; and
  • 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., Sunday.

The grand opening celebration will take place on October 14, 2012.
