BMO Bank of Montreal announced today that it will provide financial assistance to its personal and business customers who have been impacted by Hurricane Juan and the ensuing power outage.
The bank indicated that it will reimburse customers who have incurred BMO Bank of Montreal overdraft charges or interest charges due to late deposits or late BMO bank-related payments resulting from the storm and power outage. BMO will also provide Prime Rate loans to customers in good standing who are awaiting verified insurance reimbursements.
BMO is encouraging customers who have been impacted by the storm and power outage to visit their BMO Bank of Montreal branch or call its toll-free number: 1-800-555-3000. Bank staff will review a customer's situation on an individual basis.
Trevor Green, vice-president, Nova Scotia District, BMO Bank of Montreal, said the bank’s data systems continued to function throughout the storm and power outage, ensuring the protection and preservation of customer information. “Nonetheless, we’re aware that some of our customers have been affected by the storm and power outage. As in the past, we’re dedicated to working with our customers to help them through this period.”
