BMO Financial Group Announces $25,000 Donation for Food Banks in Nova Scotia and PEI
BMO Financial Group and its employee foundation, BMO Fountain of Hope, today announced a contribution of $25,000 to help food banks with their relief efforts in communities in Nova Scotia and PEI affected by Hurricane Juan and the ensuing power outage.
BMO Bank of Montreal branches in Nova Scotia and PEI are also accepting cash and food donations from the public. Donations will be forwarded to food banks in the communities in which they have been collected.
“We want to help people cope with the aftermath of Hurricane Juan and we are working with local relief organizations to help alleviate the difficulties faced by the affected communities,” said Carol Snider, Senior Vice-President, Atlantic Canada, BMO Bank of Montreal.
BMO Bank of Montreal is also providing financial assistance and relief to its customers who have been impacted by Hurricane Juan.
