BMO Bank of Montreal Adds Korean Language Glossary to Its Online Banking Service

BMO Bank of Montreal is making its service more accessible to Korean customers by adding a new glossary with a comprehensive list of banking terms and their Korean equivalent to its online banking site.

"The Korean glossary for online banking is just one of the services we are providing to our Korean customers who require language assistance,” said Peggy Sum, Senior Vice President, Asian Markets, BMO Bank of Montreal.  “Over the last few years, BMO Bank of Montreal has hired additional Korean speaking frontline staff and has placed them in branches located in areas where Koreans have reached critical mass.  Additionally, BMO Bank of Montreal has partnered with a major bank in Korea and the provincial government to conduct both investment and business seminars to help newly arrived Koreans understand financial services and products better.

“Better communication leads to better mutual understanding,” she added, “that’s why we try our best to respond to customers’ language needs.”

BMO also provides a Chinese language glossary for online banking and a Chinese language bmo.com Internet site.

To find the nearest BMO Bank of Montreal branch with Korean speaking staff to serve you, call BMO’s Direct Banking number at 1-800-555-3000.
