BMO Financial Group Partners with University Health Network to Help Set Global Standard in Health Professions Education  

BMO Financial Group and University Health Network have announced the creation of the BMO Financial Group Chair in Health Professions Education. BMO's $2 million gift establishes a Chair modeled on improving and strengthening the education component of health professions leadership. The new Chair, which will be inaugurated as a Professorship, will help set a global standard of excellence in education research.

BMO Financial Group has a long legacy of supporting education and health and welfare projects across the country and the establishment of the new Chair will continue that tradition. The BMO Financial Group Chair in Health Professions Education Research is a pace-setting contribution aimed at the improvement of healthcare delivery through advances in education.

"The biggest challenge facing the healthcare sector in Canada is the education of our future healthcare professionals," said Dr. Richard Reznick, Vice President of Education at University Health Network and Chair, Department of Surgery at University of Toronto. "BMO Financial Group is well known for its willingness to invest in education and this gift is a superb example of their farsighted approach."
