BMO Bank of Montreal's Mosaik MasterCard has awarded three lucky people with a free flight for two anywhere that WestJet flies in Canada.

Ralph Rees of Fort St. John, B.C., and Shawn Parsons, of Brooks, Alberta were the surprise winners of the free flights - Mr. Rees was rewarded for being the first to upgrade his Mosaik MasterCard with the Gold WestJet 1/$15 AIR MILES Reward Option, while Mr. Parsons won for being the first to apply for a new Mosaik MasterCard with the Gold Option.

The bank didn't advertise its plans so neither Rees nor Parsons were aware BMO was planning to reward its first Gold WestJet customers in each category. "We thought it would be fun to surprise them," said Mike Kitchen, Vice President, Retail Cardholder Products and Marketing, BMO Bank of Montreal. "Now, what came right out of the blue is going to take them right up into the blue."

"I've had my BMO MasterCard for almost seven years, and love the convenience of being able to pick and choose the features," remarked Mr. Rees. "When I found out about the new Gold WestJet reward option from Mosaik MasterCard, I knew I had to have it."

"I travel back East to see my family a lot, so when I heard about the Mosaik MasterCard Gold WestJet 1/$15 AIR MILES Reward Option, I knew it was the best travel card on the market and applied for it immediately," said Mr. Parsons.

Ursula Maraski of Calgary, winner of the "Collect Faster. Fly Sooner" contest the bank held to create awareness of the new Mosaik MasterCard option said, "When I first found about the Mosaik MasterCard with the Gold WestJet 1/$15 AIR MILES Reward Option, I was really excited. It's perfect for me; it makes it so easy to collect AIR MILES reward miles, and I'm a big fan of WestJet for travel.
