    Media Advisory BMO Financial Group to Present its Economic Outlook 2005 Report  

    On Thursday, October 21, 2004, Tim O’Neill, Executive Vice-President and Chief Economist, BMO Financial Group, will review the Outlook 2005 report at a press briefing in Montreal. He will be joined by Robert Hogue, Senior Economist.

    The briefing will review the highlights of the Outlook 2005 report, which consists of economic projections for Canada, the U.S., and each Canadian province. It will also include a world outlook, with economic projections for the Euro-zone, the United Kingdom, Japan, Asia, and Latin America. The briefing will include discussions about Canada’s GDP growth compared to the U.S., the likely plans of the Bank of Canada and U.S. Federal Reserve Board for interest rates, the prospects for the Canadian dollar, and the impact of high-energy prices.
