BMO Financial Group’s Updated Q4 2004 Supplementary Financial Information Package is Now Available to Investor Community Changes reflect adoption of the CICA’s new accounting requirements for fiscal 2005

For the convenience of the investor community, BMO Financial Group has posted its updated Q4 2004 Supplementary Financial Information Package on its investor relations website.

BMO announced, in its 2004 earnings news release, its intention to adopt the new Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) accounting requirements for fiscal 2005, applicable to preferred shares and capital trust securities.

This has been done on a retroactive basis, as required by the new standard, and does not materially impact the Total-Bank financial results.

The updated package is intended to help the investor community more easily compare the prior period results with the bank's Q1 2005 results when they are released on February 22, 2005.
