As part of today's grand re-opening ceremonies for BMO Bank of Montreal's Hiway Centre Branch in Kitchener-Waterloo, the bank is presenting the Grand River Hospital Cancer Centre with a cheque for $5,000 for the purchase of a much-needed Pain Pump.
According to the Cancer Centre, pain pumps are necessary to administer medication in timed increments to patients to control pain. Patients can also use the pain pumps to self-administer pain medication. The units are in constant demand and are used extensively throughout the Grand River Hospital, including the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre.

The BMO Bank of Montreal branch, located at 1375 Weber Street, has just completed a four month, $600,000 renovation project and is once again open for business with extended hours and Saturday banking. The new branch provides BMO customers with a complete range of financial services including loans, mortgages, and personal and commercial banking services.
As an additional customer service, the branch will also include a BMO Nesbitt Burns Advisor to provide customers with a variety of investment, wealth management, financial advisory and planning services.
Attendees at the donation and ribbon cutting event are expected to include: Kitchener Mayor Carl Zehr; Carol Snider, BMO's Senior Vice President of the Ontario Division; and Jane Jamieson from the Cancer Centre as well as BMO staff and customers.
