William Schreier Joins BMO Nesbitt Burns Equity Capital Markets Group  

BMO Nesbitt Burns is pleased to announce it has hired William Schreier as Managing Director of its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) group.

Mr. Schreier will focus on growing the firm's market share in public equity related financings. Based in New York, Mr. Schreier will be responsible for origination and helping clients identify, review and select optimal financing alternatives. He will also draw upon his experience to advance the firm's role in identifying opportunities in the growing Income Participating Securities™ market.

"Bill's experience and background make him a great fit and will further strengthen our group as we continue to capitalize on cross-border opportunities and grow our North American presence in equity capital markets," said Peter Myers, North American Head of Equity Capital Markets, BMO Nesbitt Burns.

Prior to joining BMO, Mr. Schreier was a Senior Managing Director in CIBC World Markets' New York Equity Capital Markets (ECM) group. Previously, he was an ECM Managing Director at Salomon Brothers, and was ECM department head at Bankers Trust /BT Securities. Mr. Schreier began his ECM career at Morgan Stanley, where he first served as Senior Capital Markets Counsel, Legal Department. He began his professional career at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, practicing corporate and securities law.

Mr. Schreier received a B.S. in Finance (cum laude) from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and a J.D. (Law Review) from Fordham University School of Law, New York.
