BMO Bank of Montreal to Present an Aboriginal Pow Wow in Celebration of National Aboriginal Day
BMO Bank of Montreal’s Aboriginal Sharing Circle is hosting a Pow Wow in Toronto in honour of National Aboriginal Day. The celebratory event will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, in front of BMO Bank of Montreal’s Bloor Street offices located at 55 Bloor Street West.
The two hour celebration will feature a variety of events and displays including:
- An opening address by Ron Jamieson, Senior Vice President, Aboriginal Banking, BMO Bank of Montreal;
- A traditional prayer given by Pauline Shirt, an Elder of the Cree Red Tailed Hawk Clan;
- A presentation by Derrick Bressette, an Ojibway Traditional Storyteller;
- Performances by the Morningstar River Singers; and
- Numerous vendor booths to help attendees discover traditional native culture.
