BMO Bank of Montreal Celebrates Opening of New Ottawa Capital Centre Branch With $40,000 Donation to United Way

BMO Bank of Montreal today held the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art Capital Centre branch in the heart of Ottawa’s business district. In honour of the event, Rob Pearce, President and CEO, Personal and Commercial Client Group, BMO Bank of Montreal and Jamie McMillan, Senior Vice President, Eastern and Northern Ontario District, presented the local United Way with a cheque for $40,000.

“BMO has always believed in supporting the communities in which we live and work, and I can’t think of a more appropriate way of marking the grand opening of our flagship branch in the nation’s capital than by honouring the work of the Ottawa United Way,” said Mr. Pearce.

The new branch, located at 269 Laurier Avenue West, occupies the first two floors of the 19 storied BMO-branded tower and offers customers full personal and commercial banking services.

The features of the branch include:

  • financial planners;
  • investment and retirement planning specialists;
  • BMO Nesbitt Burns investment advisors;
  • a BMO Harris Private Banking consultant;
  • full wheelchair accessibility; and
  • five automatic banking machines (ABMs) providing access to accounts and information 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
