TORONTO, December 2, 2005 — Guardian Group of Funds Ltd. (GGOF) today released estimates for year-end capital gain distributions for units of its funds. These estimates are provided to help investors and their financial advisors in formulating effective tax planning for fund units held outside registered retirement plans.
Distribution estimates are based on information currently available and are only an approximation. Actual distributions may differ significantly from the estimated distribution amounts for several reasons, including any significant gains or losses incurred by a fund through the subsequent disposition of securities or if there are significant market movements. The fact that GGOF has provided a distribution estimate for a fund does not guarantee that the fund will pay a year-end distribution. Funds or classes not mentioned below are not anticipated to make capital gain distributions in 2005, although this could change if there are significant changes in the factors determining distributions before the distribution date.
GGOF intends to pay capital gain distributions for its funds on December 20, 2005, with the exception of GGOF Canadian Growth Fund Ltd., which will make its distributions on December 29, 2005. The following estimates are per unit and do not include regular monthly distributions or capital gains previously distributed. The actual distributions are likely to be different.
