BMO Financial Group Receives Corporate Reporting Award Recognized by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants

TORONTO, December 7, 2005 – BMO Financial Group received an Award of Excellence, in the Financial Services category for Corporate Reporting, at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Corporate Reporting Awards luncheon today. This is the second year in a row that BMO has won this award.

The Corporate Reporting Awards recognize excellence in financial and corporate reporting in Canada. Awards are given to companies who have shown leadership in financial reporting, electronic disclosure, corporate governance disclosure and sustainable development reporting.

BMO Financial Group is widely recognized for its financial disclosure and transparency. This is the 12th time in 13 years that BMO has received an award from the CICA recognizing its corporate reporting.
