BMO Bank of Montreal Invests $1.6 Million in Gander to Open New Branch Featuring The First Local Drive-Through ABM

BMO Bank of Montreal today announced that, on Monday, March 27, it will open a new state-of-the-art branch at 265 Airport Boulevard in Gander, replacing the Elizabeth Drive branch that had been destroyed by fire in December 2004.

The new branch will bring together the same dedicated team of experienced banking professionals who have been serving customers from the temporary BMO branch at 61 Elizabeth Drive, which will close at the end of business tomorrow, Friday, March 24.

“BMO's investment of $1.6 million for the construction of this 4,000 square foot branch demonstrates our commitment to Gander and to our customers, whom we want to thank for their patience and understanding following our forced relocation,” said Jim Fallon, Area Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal.

“With these spacious, state-of-the-art facilities, we will be able to serve our customers better and to offer them an even broader range of specialized financial services, including wealth management and investment services, all under one roof,” added Gander Branch Manager, Maureen Schwartz.

The new branch will feature two ABMs, including the first drive-through ABM in Gander. “Gander's first and only drive-through ABM will offer customers the convenience of doing their banking transactions quickly and without having to leave their vehicle, a big plus in challenging weather conditions or if you're a parent with children aboard,” noted Mr. Fallon.

The BMO branch will feature:

  • Experienced Financial Services Managers who will meet with clients in welcoming private surroundings to advise on made-to-measure financial services solutions;
  • Customer Service Representatives to help customers with their day-to-day transaction needs;
