BMO Bank of Montreal will be investing $1.7 million in a new bank branch in Chatham. The branch will be conveniently located at 8 Lacroix St. at the southwest corner of Park Avenue and Lacroix across from the Sobeys food store. The new branch is expected to open in the spring of 2007.
“Our investment in this new, larger and updated branch demonstrates BMO's longstanding commitment to Chatham and our customers,” said Michael Klopchic, District Vice-President, BMO Bank of Montreal. “Our customers in the area will now have increased access to a broad range of professional banking and investment services at a location convenient to where they live, work and shop. BMO has been operating in Chatham since 1884 and we look forward to a continued partnership with the community.”
The 6,800 sq. ft., state-of-the-art BMO branch will be staffed with 22 banking and investment professionals and will provide customers with a number of special convenience features, including:
- On-site parking facilities and full wheelchair accessibility;
- Full commercial banking services including cash management, deposit services and commercial account specialists, and
- A highly experienced personal banking team which include a Retirement and Investment Specialist
- Two Instabank Extra automated banking machines (ABM) that offer:
- Access to accounts and banking information 24 hours a day, seven days a week;
- A flexible key pad security shield on every ABM to prevent customer PIN numbers from being observed by others;
- A ‘fast cash' option – that dispenses a preset $40 from your chequing account with only a single prompt, and
- The ability to add the total amount from up to five deposits in a single transaction and provide a consolidated receipt
- The new branch will operate Monday to Wednesday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm; Thursday/Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm; and Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
The new Chatham branch replaces the BMO branches that were located at 550 Richmond St., 835 Queen St. and 131 King St. W.
