BMO Bank of Montreal Opens $1.3 Million Branch on Roper Road in Southeast Edmonton$32,000 Donation to United Way Capital Region to be made at Grand Opening Celebration
BMO Bank of Montreal continues to improve and expand its banking presence in southeast Edmonton with the opening of a new $1.3 million branch at the corner of 75th Street and Roper Road. The highly visible 8,500 square foot branch, on a busy commercial corner, will feature expanded retail and commercial financial services and extended hours of operation, giving customers increased access to a broad range of professional banking and investment services.
“BMO Bank of Montreal is on track with our aggressive plan, announced last year, to open 25 new branches in Alberta over the next five years” said Ted McCarron, Senior Vice President, BMO Bank of Montreal, Prairies Division. “We intend to keep pace with the booming economy in a highly visible way by building large, new branches to serve our clients in the manner that they have come to expect.”

BMO will celebrate the branch opening with an official ribbon cutting ceremony at noon on Wednesday, January 31, 2007. As part of the grand opening celebrations, Mr. Bennett will present a donation of $32,000 to the United Way Capital Region in support of the 2007 campaign.
Dean Halloway, Manager of the new BMO Bank of Montreal branch, leads a team of 21 financial professionals, providing customers with a variety of commercial, personal, wealth management and financial planning services. The Roper Road branch also features financial services provided by BMO Nesbitt Burns and BMO Harris Private Banking, and special convenience features such as a drive-through ABM and ample free on-site parking.
To celebrate the grand opening, customers who invest a minimum of $2,500 in a BMO RSP, GIC or Term Investment before February 15, 2007 will receive $100 that will be added to the principal investment.
