Calling All Techies! BMO Capital Markets One of the First to Offer Podcast Versions of Institutional Investor Conferences

For those who thought they were addicted to their BlackBerry, BMO Capital Markets is now making it possible for investors to access the firm's institutional conferences via their iPod, other media player or personal computer.

BMO Capital Markets launched the new podcasting capability at the firm's popular Global Resources Conference in Tampa, Florida where a record 930 attendees have gathered to hear from about 200 leading corporate presenters from the global mining industry. While the event always draws a crowd, there are thousands more who follow the three-day event by webcast.

“Traditionally, our webcast is accessed by thousands of people who want the most up to date information about leading companies in the global mining industry. Now users can download and listen to various presentations at their convenience on their iPod, media player or personal computer,” said Mike Miller, Co-Head, Equity Products, BMO Capital Markets. “Making our conferences available by podcast is a practical enhancement that some of our clients have told us they will use.”

“Podcasting has become another way for people to access information and is fast becoming a fundamental part of event productions,” said Steven Tarte, Co-President of iPresentations, a Toronto-based webcast provider who implemented the technology for BMO Capital Markets.
