BMO Capital Markets Hires Connie Maneaty to Consumer & Leisure Equity Research Group

BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (NYSE, TSX: BMO), today announced the hiring of Constance M. Maneaty as a Senior Research Analyst.

Ms. Maneaty, who is a 20-year veteran of Wall Street, will cover the Personal Care & Household Products industry. She is based in New York and will be joined by two research associates. The new team will become part of BMO Capital Markets' U.S. Equity Research Consumer & Leisure Group.

Her research universe will include numerous companies of great interest to our institutional clients,” said Jack Blackstock, Director of U.S. Equity Research. “With the addition of Connie's widely respected research, BMO Capital Markets will to continue to have a significant voice in the Consumer & Leisure space.”

Ms. Maneaty has followed the Cosmetics, Personal Care and Household Products sector for the past 17 years as a sell-side analyst. She joins BMO Capital Markets from Prudential Securities. Previously she was an analyst at Bear Stearns. Ms. Maneaty has been recognized annually since 2002 for both stock-picking and earnings estimates accuracy in the Forbes.com/StarMine Analyst Awards. Last year, she ranked within the Top 10 of all Equity Analysts for the total number of awards she has won since the inception of the awards in 2001. In addition, Ms. Maneaty has been recognized by The Wall Street Journal's annual survey of equity analysts six times in her career for stock picking and estimate accuracy.

Her first assignment as an analyst was covering biotech and foreign drug companies at Gramercy Associates, which was acquired by S.G. Warburg. Ms. Maneaty earned a Master of Public Affairs degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, and a Bachelor of Arts from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

The other members of the Consumer & Leisure group include Gerrick Johnson (Toys), Rick Weinhart (Hardline Retail), and Edward Williams (Leisure & Entertainment).
