BMO Bank of Montreal Opens $1.5 Million Bank Branch in London, Ontario New branch powered by clean energy

BMO Bank of Montreal today opened an expansive $1.5 million personal and commercial banking branch in London, Ontario at corner of 1255 Highbury Avenue North and Huron Street. The new 5,000 square-foot branch is easily accessible by car or London Transit, and is less than a minute away from the bank's old Highbury Avenue location.

BMO also announced that the new branch is one of the first BMO branches that will receive its electricity from Bullfrog Power, which provides homes and businesses in Ontario and Alberta with electricity generated from clean, renewable sources like wind power and low-impact hydro. BMO has purchased 5,000 Megawatt Hours per year of clean, emission-free electricity from Bullfrog Power.

The Highbury Avenue branch has 13 financial services professionals and has also hired a new BMO Nesbitt Burns Investment Advisor, who can help customers address their financial needs, including wealth management, estate planning and insurance.

The Highbury Avenue branch features:

  • A BMO Nesbitt Burns Investment Advisor;
  • Commercial banking services including cash management;
  • A highly experienced team of personal banking professionals with mortgage, financial planning and investment expertise;
  • Offices where clients can have meaningful financial discussions in private;
  • Ample parking facilities for BMO customers;
  • Full wheelchair accessibility; and
  • Three Instabank Extra automated banking machines (ABMs), including a drive-through ABM.
  • Hours of operation: 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 9:30 am to 6:00 pm on Thursdays and Fridays; and 9:30 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays.

To celebrate the new branch, BMO will hold its grand opening on Saturday, November 17, 2007.

BMO Bank of Montreal operates 14 branches in the London area and employs 185 people. BMO will celebrate its 190 anniversary on November 3, 2007.
