    Media Advisory $100,000 Siminovitch Prize in Theatre Award Ceremony Takes Place October 29th

    The Elinore & Lou Siminovitch Prize in Theatre and founding sponsor, BMO Financial Group, invite you to attend the announcement and presentation of the 2007 Siminovitch Prize in Theatre. This year, the prize will honour a Canadian director who has advanced theatre in Canada through a body of work achieved in recent years, while influencing and inspiring younger theatre artists.

    Four finalists were placed on the short list for the 2007 Siminovitch Prize: Brigitte Haentjens, Montreal, QC; Ron Jenkins, Edmonton, AB; Alisa Palmer, Toronto, ON, and Soheil Parsa, Toronto, ON.

    WHAT: The Siminovitch Prize in Theatre was introduced in 2001 and dedicated to renowned scientist Lou Siminovitch and his late wife Elinore, a playwright. The recipient receives $100,000, of which $25,000 is awarded to a prot�g� or organization of the recipient's choice.
