BMO Bank of Montreal Appoints New Vice-President to Run its Edmonton District OperationsA seasoned banking professional, Lynda Taylor brings a strong customer and community focus to her new leadership role

BMO Bank of Montreal has appointed Lynda Taylor as Vice-President for the Edmonton District, the first woman to hold this executive position in the city for BMO.

Ms. Taylor will be responsible for the performance of 500 professionals who serve customers through BMO's network of 29 branches in the Edmonton area including seven In-Store branches in Safeway locations that offer customers the convenience of seven days a week banking.

Ms. Taylor holds an MBA from Boston University and has 17 years experience with BMO Bank of Montreal. She began her career as a small business account manager trainee in Toronto in 1990 and prior to her recent executive appointment; she was Personal Banking Area Manager for Downtown Calgary, a leadership role in retail banking where she was responsible for 85 employees in 7 branches. She has extensive banking experience in commercial banking, having worked as a mid-market senior account manager and a Commercial Banking Area Manager.

Lynda joins a BMO executive leadership team in Edmonton that will focus on ensuring that our employees offer customers a superior banking experience and personalized financial solutions during each branch visit or conversation,” added Mr. McCarron.

Lynda Taylor most recently represented BMO Bank of Montreal at the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton where BMO was title sponsor of Family Day on November 10th. Her community involvement has included board positions with the Making Changes Employment Association of Alberta and The Duke of Edinburgh's Award. She is also active, along with BMO employees across Canada, with Kids Help Phone, the only toll-free national and bilingual anonymous phone and web counselling, referral and information service for children and youth. Earlier in November, BMO Financial Group committed $2 million to the Kids Help Phone Futures Campaign. Lynda is married with two pre-school children.

BMO is an active corporate citizen, with more than $1.5 million in total community investment in Alberta donations and sponsorships annually.

BMO Bank of Montreal is also focused on building lasting relationships with customers with new products and special offerings, such as its recent AIR MILES initiative whereby collectors can receive miles on all their debit card purchases regardless of where they shop and without restrictions.
