BMO Introduces 8,888 Ways to Celebrate the Chinese New Year
Contest winners to receive AIR MILES Reward Miles for travel to Asia
BMO Bank of Montreal is ringing in the Chinese New Year with a contest offering 8,888 ways to celebrate the Year of the Rat. A select number of BMO branches in the Greater Toronto and Greater Vancouver areas that support Canada's growing Asian community will offer a chance to win 8,888 AIR MILES Reward Miles for a round trip flight to the 2008 Olympic host Beijing, or Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei or many other destinations.
“BMO has a long history of supporting Canada's Chinese community, which represents over one million people across the country,” said Srini Iyengar, Director, Asian Markets, BMO Bank of Montreal. “This contest is another way for us to reward our customers for their business and is an exciting way to celebrate the Year of the Rat – a time of hard work, activity and renewal,” added Mr. Iyengar.
The contest is open to new and existing BMO Bank of Montreal customers and runs between February 7, 2008 and March 7, 2008. Contestants have a number of ways to earn ballots for chances to win, including opening a Premium Rate Savings Account, a Primary Chequing Account with an Everyday Banking Plan (EDB), an Interest Chequing Account (with EDB), or using PowerSwitch™ to initiate the transfer of either one pre-authorized credit or one pre-authorized debit. Full contest details with a list of participating branches are available at www.bmo.com/newyear.
“In addition to this contest, BMO customers can collect AIR MILES reward miles whenever and wherever they make purchases using their BMO Bank of Montreal debit card or BMO Mosaik MasterCard,” said Mr. Iyengar. “If you're one of the 9 million collectors in Canada, there is an added bonus of banking with BMO since no other bank can help you collect faster and redeem quicker and we are the only major financial institution that rewards debit and credit card purchases, including online purchases, with access to a comprehensive choice of more than 800 reward and travel options,” added Mr. Iyengar.
