BMO Bank of Montreal Opens $1.5 Million Bank Branch in Richmond HillBMO's new branch uses emission-free electricity from Bullfrog Power and offers financial services in 8 languages

BMO Bank of Montreal today opened a new 6,000 square foot personal and commercial banking branch, located in a newly developed residential and commercial area at 11680 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill. To serve this diverse area, the new BMO branch will provide financial advice in English, Romanian, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Arabic, Italian, Cantonese and Farsi.

This new location is easily accessible by car and transit and is centrally located on Yonge Street, between Jefferson Sideroad and Highway 29, in North Richmond Hill. The new branch has a team of 20 personal banking and investment professionals who are eager to offer financial advice and support to all existing and new BMO customers in the community.

Customers can expect:

  • A highly experienced team of in-house experts – including personal banking managers, financial services representatives, a financial planner, a BMO Nesbitt Burns Investment Advisor;
  • Access to commercial account and deposit services;
  • Two Instabank automated banking machines (ABMs), including a drive-through ABM;
  • Ample parking for BMO customers; and
  • Full wheelchair accessibility.

BMO also announced that the branch will receive its electricity from Bullfrog Power, which provides homes and businesses in Ontario and Alberta with electricity generated from clean, renewable sources like wind power and low-impact hydro. BMO has purchased 5,000 Megawatt Hours per year of clean, emission-free electricity from Bullfrog Power.

BMO's North Richmond Hill branch will operate from:

  • 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday;
  • 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday; and
  • 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The branch will hold a grand opening ceremony on Saturday, April 19, 2008 and will announce a donation to a local organization.

BMO serves customers through three branches and one In-Store branch in the Richmond Hill area.
