Media AdvisoryGift from BMO Financial Group to Establish Chair in Cardiology at SickKids
BMO Financial Group to announce a donation to SickKids to establish the BMO Financial Group Chair in Cardiology which will be used to support further research and contribute to the understanding of congenital heart disease and heart function. World-renowned SickKids clinician and researcher, Dr. Andrew Redington, will be named the inaugural Chair holder. Based on this gift, Dr. Redington's group will focus their research on a novel technique developed at SickKids, that has already been shown to protect the heart and other organs from damage due to restricted blood flow during heart surgery.
