BMO Invests $2 Million in Brampton's Growing CommunityBMO expands to support diverse and rapidly growing city

BRAMPTON, October 27, 2008 – BMO Bank of Montreal today opened the doors to an 8,000 square foot branch at 52 Peel Centre Drive at the corner of Queen Street and Dixie Road in Brampton, Ontario. This branch has been relocated from 25 Peel Centre Drive in the Bramalea City Centre.

This commitment has never been more relevant than it is now given today's economic realities,” added Ms. Marra.

BMO spent $2 Million on the state-of-the-art branch to serve this fast growing community.

“Brampton sports one of the fastest growing populations among Canada's large urban areas,” said Robert Kavcic, Economic Analyst. “According to the latest Census, Brampton recorded robust 6.6% annual population growth between 2001 and 2006. The city also boasts the youngest population in the GTA (the median age is just under 34) and a diverse group of businesses in sectors ranging from manufacturing to consumer products. This combination of diversity and population growth should continue to support the local economy in the years ahead”, added Mr. Kavcic.
