BMO Expands with Opening of New 7,000 Sq. Foot Branch at Walker's Place in Burlington

BURLINGTON, November 3, 2008 – BMO Bank of Montreal moves across the street from its previous location into a new 7,000 square foot branch, located at 1841 Walkers Line. The branch is nearly twice the size of most branches to meet the demands of Burlington's growing population.

To meet the demands of Burlington's diverse and multicultural population, the branch offers customers the comfort to do banking in a variety of languages including Italian, Mandarin, Punjabi and Turkish.

“Burlington boasts a diverse economy that is not dominated by any single employer or sector. Economic activity spans a broad range of sectors, helping to maintain steady economic growth,” said Robert Kavcic, Economic Analyst for BMO Nesbitt Burns. “The city's location offers proximity to both the manufacturing sectors of Western Ontario and the downtown core of Toronto. Burlington recorded a healthy 9 per cent increase in its population between 2001 and 2006, well ahead of the national average of 5.4 per cent.”

The branch offers longer hours and will operate from:
Monday to Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The branch is also equipped with three Instabank machines, including a drive-thru ABM, for your everyday financial transactions.
