BMO Continues to Modernize its Branch Network in Winnipeg With New Branch on McPhillips Street
WINNIPEG, February 9, 2009 – BMO Bank of Montreal today officially opened a new 5,800 square foot branch located at 1083 McPhillips Street, featuring expanded services and staff and added convenience for customers.
The branch is home to a team of 16 personal banking and investment professionals who are eager to provide a great customer experience to all new and existing BMO customers.
“We are committed to making money make sense for every one of our customers, by bringing clarity to the complexities of money,” said John MacAulay, Vice-President, Manitoba & Northwest Ontario District, BMO Bank of Montreal. ”This commitment has never been more relevant than it is now given today's economic realities.”
“We have additional space in our new branch to better serve our customers and look forward to offer a wider range of services under one roof,” said Branch Manager Rita Maubert.
For added convenience, the new McPhillips branch features three Instabank machines for everyday financial transactions, including a drive-thru ABM, as well as ample free parking.
The branch also offers longer hours and will operate from:
Monday to Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
BMO is offering a $100 cash deposit to all new customers who open a new chequing account, with a recurring pre-authorized debit or credit, between February 9 and March 13.
“This is a great time for first-time homebuyers to come in and talk to us given the low current mortgage rates. We can help remove the complexity that comes with such a purchase and provide them with the BMO First Home Essentials kit designed specifically to meet their needs,” said Mrs. Maubert.
“Plus if you're one of the millions of AIR MILES collectors in Canada, we have another reason for you to bank with BMO,” said John MacAulay. “No other bank can help you collect faster and redeem more quickly because we are the only major financial institution that rewards debit and credit card purchases, including online purchases, with access to a comprehensive choice of more than 800 reward and travel options,” he added.
The existing BMO branch at Mountain & McPhillips Street will cease its operations on February 6.
