AIRDRIE, March 27, 2009 – BMO Bank of Montreal tomorrow officially opens its first branch in Airdrie in a new 6,000 square foot building located at 750 Main Street, across from the fire hall.
The branch is home to a team of 15 personal banking and investment professionals who are eager to provide a great customer experience to all new and existing BMO customers. In addition, there is a BMO Nesbitt Burns Investment Advisor, a financial planner, and a mortgage specialist located at the branch.
“BMO has a strong reputation for supporting customers through good times and bad,” said David Sprague Vice-President, Calgary District, BMO Bank of Montreal. “This commitment has never been more relevant than it is now given the current economic downturn. We are committed to making money make sense for every one of our customers.”
“We are excited to bring BMO to Airdrie and with these new, large premises, we will offer a wide range of services all under one roof,” said Branch Manager Deanne Heffernan.
For added convenience, the new Airdrie branch features two ABMs for everyday financial transactions, including a drive-thru ABM, as well as ample free parking. BMO's new Airdrie branch is the 17th branch in Alberta to have Green Energy. It will receive its electricity from Bullfrog Power, which provides homes and businesses in Ontario and Alberta with electricity generated from clean, renewable sources like wind power and low-impact hydro.
The branch's hours of operation are:
Monday to Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“This is a great time for first-time homebuyers to come in and talk to us given the low current mortgage rates. We can help remove the complexity that comes with such a purchase and provide them with the BMO First Home Essentials kit designed specifically to meet their needs,” said Ms. Heffernan.
“Plus if you're one of the millions of AIR MILES collectors in Canada, we have another reason for you to bank with BMO,” said David Sprague, Vice President, Calgary District, BMO Bank of Montreal. “No other bank can help you collect faster and redeem more quickly because we are the only major financial institution that rewards debit and credit card purchases, including online purchases, with access to a comprehensive choice of more than 800 reward and travel options,” Mr. Sprague added.
