Take a Trip Around the World Without Leaving MississaugaBMO Announces Sponsorship of the 24th Annual Carassauga Festival of Cultures
MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 21, 2009 – Take a trip around the world with one of the largest multicultural festivals in Ontario. From Friday May 22 to Sunday, May 24, Mississauga will be home to the Carassauga Festival of Cultures with BMO as the platinum sponsor.
With the purchase of a Carassauga Passport, you can explore the cultures of 40 countries represented at the event. Each pavilion, found throughout Mississauga, will feature cultural cuisine, art, folk dancing, vibrant costumes and other activities from various countries.
“The Carassauga Festival of Cultures is able to exist and thrive only with the help of our sponsors,” said Jack Prazeres, 2009 Carassauga Festival Chairperson. “Without the outstanding support of businesses such as BMO Bank of Montreal, a festival of this magnitude would not be possible.”
“BMO Bank of Montreal is thrilled to sponsor an event that celebrates the cultural diversity that makes Mississauga such a vibrant city. We encourage all of our customers to celebrate with us,” said Heather Grand, Vice President, Multicultural Markets, BMO Bank of Montreal.
Carassauga Festival gives Mississauga citizen groups from different origins a venue to promote public awareness, appreciation and enjoyment of their cultures and cultural expressions. Over three fun-filled days, visitors will have the opportunity to span the globe without leaving the city. Each pavilion provides a unique blend of music, fashion and food with a focus on celebrating the city's diversity.
