BMO Bank of Montreal Appoints New Vice-President for Downtown Montreal

MONTREAL, May 5, 2010 - BMO Bank of Montreal today announced the appointment of Alan Desnoyers as Vice-President for Downtown Montreal.

Mr. Desnoyers will lead a team of 320 professionals who serve customers through BMO's network of 23 branches in Downtown Montreal.

A graduate of McGill University in Commerce as well as the Management Program of the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Desnoyers joins BMO with nearly 25 years experience in the financial services industry. He has held senior management and leadership roles in commercial and retail banking, including as senior vice-president, and was also a senior business consultant, demonstrating his entrepreneurial qualities and strategic vision on behalf of his clients.

"Throughout his career, Alan has demonstrated a commitment and passion to customer service and sales while leading his teams to superior performance," said François Hudon, Senior Vice-President, Quebec Division, BMO Bank of Montreal. "He joins a BMO executive leadership team in Quebec that is focused on ensuring that our employees offer our clients an exceptional banking experience and personalized financial solutions during each branch visit or conversation," added Mr. Hudon.

BMO Bank of Montreal is also focused on building lasting relationships with customers with new products and special offerings, such as its new five-year low-rate fixed closed mortgage at 4.35 per cent, with a maximum 25 year amortization.

Mr. Desnoyers is very active in the community. He is currently co-chair of the Weekend to End Women's Cancers benefitting the Jewish General Hospital, and is a member of the board of the McGill Alumni Association. He also sits on the advisory board of McGill's Desautels Faculty of Management, and is involved with the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital.
