BMO Opens New $1.4 Million Full-Service Branch at Avenue Road and Fairlawn
  • BMO Bank of Montreal's newest branch opens its doors to the growing community of North York with extended hours.
  • ‘Making Money Make Sense' in eleven languages: English, Farsi, Italian, Spanish, Talalog, Macedonian, Greek, French, Urdu, Kachi, and Gujrati.

TORONTO, ON, March 8, 2011 – BMO Bank of Montreal has opened its doors to a new personal and commercial banking branch to service the established and expanding residential and commercial area of North York in Toronto.

BMO's newest branch, located at 1705 Avenue Road, near the Avenue Road and Lawrence Avenue intersection, represents an investment of $1.4 million in the North York/ Fairlawn community.

“It is exciting for BMO to be enhancing its presence in this diverse area,” said Cathy Galitsiadis, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal. “We encourage both new and existing customers to come in and meet with knowledgeable staff who can discuss options such as BMO's five-year fixed low-rate mortgage with a maximum 25-year amortization. With this option homeowners can save money in interest and become mortgage free sooner.”

Along with a variety of banking options, the new branch is equipped to meet the growing needs of the community with an experienced team of 14 in-house experts who are eager to provide a great customer experience to all BMO customers.

Customers can also expect:

  • Services provided in eleven different languages: English, Farsi, Italian, Spanish, Talalog, Macedonian, Greek, French, Urdu, Kachi, and Gujrati;
  • Access to commercial account and deposit services;
  • Two Instabank automated banking machines (ABM) and a coin counter; and
  • Full wheelchair accessibility.

“We are happy to welcome new customers into the branch” adds Mrs. Galitsiadis. “To those customers that open a new Everyday Banking Account with a pre authorized debit and pre authorized credit we are offer a $100 cash deposit into their new account.”

BMO's new Avenue Road and Fairlawn branch's hours of operation are:

  • 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Wednesday;
  • 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays; and
  • 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturdays
