MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: Pitt Meadows Rockets Celebrates BMO Team of the Week Title

    - Team eligible to win grand prize, including $125,000 field refurbishment

    - Mayor Don MacLean will join Rockets for their celebration

MAPLE RIDGE, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 20, 2011) - The Rockets of Pitt Meadows are celebrating their win as BMO Team of the Week and kicking off their contention for BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion at the Westridge Center BMO branch in Maple Ridge.

As BMO Team of the Week, the Pitt Meadows Rockets will receive team tracksuits, $500 for the team, and a charitable donation to a charity of their choice. The team has selected Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program as their charity. This program, with more than 300 local chapters across the country, aims to remove financial barriers so that children can participate in organized sport and recreation.

"These young girls are great soccer players and, at such a young age, have shown they are true community role models by collecting hundreds of cans for their local food drive to support children in need. We are thrilled to be celebrating the Rockets well-deserved BMO Team of the Week win," said Henry Donkers, District Vice-President, Vancouver Suburban, BMO Bank of Montreal.
