Canadians invited to cast their vote at BMOsoccer.com through August 15

GABRIOLA ISLAND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 10, 2011) - The Gabriola Wolves U10 Girls' team are in the running to be named BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion and win the grand prize, which includes $125,000 to upgrade their community soccer pitch.

The champion team will also win a road trip to see a Toronto FC or Vancouver Whitecaps FC home game and a $5,000 donation to the charity of their choice. Canadians can log on to BMOsoccer.com to cast their vote. The team with the most number of votes will be the BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion.

"The excitement that followed the announcement of our being a BMO Team of the Week is still being felt in our community. The team has become a story in itself. For the last few months, we continue to meet various well wishers and contest enthusiasts that are following our journey," said Kevin Smith, coach of the Gabriola Woves.

"This team exemplifies one with heart, vision and determination. After only a few days of voting, the Wolves knew that we faced a monumental challenge in surpassing the numbers of votes generated by bigger centers, but our team is determined to do the best we can! We are reaching out to as many people as we can find to get as many votes as we can. We started the race and we will finish the race," Smith added.
