BMO Bank of Montreal invites customers and members of the community to celebrate the grand re-opening of its newly renovated, full-service branch in Waterloo on Thursday, February 2nd.

The historic BMO Waterloo main branch is located at 3 King Street South. BMO has been proudly serving the Waterloo community since 1881, and has been located at the 98 year-old heritage building since 1925.

The newly renovated, open-concept branch offers customers extended banking hours and is designed to provide a great banking experience through a variety of financial services and conveniences, including:

  • A free coin counter - a simple-to-use kiosk which counts your loose change;
  • Services provided in eight different languages;
  • Access to commercial account and deposit services;
  • One ATM;
  • Barrier-free access; and
  • Full service BMO Nesbitt Burns office located on the second floor.

"We are excited to be opening our newly renovated branch in this historic landmark building, and encourage residents and local business owners to come in and speak with our team about their financial needs," said Debbie Czaniecki, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal.

Janet Peddigrew, Vice President, BMO Bank of Montreal added that working with small business owners continues to be a priority.

"The Kitchener-Waterloo region is a world-renowned hub for small business and innovation in Canada, and at BMO we're committed to helping businesses grow to their full potential," said Ms. Peddigrew. "BMO is making $10 billion available to businesses across Canada over the next three years, which will help businesses to continue to innovate, grow and create jobs. Our local bankers are also armed with limits to make the lending decisions right here in Waterloo."

Ms. Peddigrew also noted that BMO has added a Financial Services Manager (FSM) specializing in business banking, located at the Marsland Centre.

According to BMO Economics, Kitchener-Waterloo's diverse economy looks to be outperforming broader Ontario trends and the region is outpacing the provincial average in job and population growth.

In celebration of the grand re-opening, the first 100 customers to use BMO's free Coin Counter and deposit their funds into a new Premium Rate Savings Account between January 25 and February 29, 2012 will receive a matched deposit of up to $25 to kick-start their savings.
