Natural gas prices are at 10-year lows and bloated inventories continue to weigh on the market. Meanwhile, the oil-to-natural gas price ratio in North America is running in the vicinity of 40, compared to a long-run average closer to ten. The European benchmark, Brent, is trading at a large premium to the U.S. benchmark, West Texas Intermediate (WTI), reversing their historical relationship, and Canadian oil prices are trading at a sharp discount to both.
