THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 4, 2012) - BMO Financial Group today announced a $10,000 contribution to the Canadian Red Cross in support of relief efforts in Thunder Bay for those affected by recent flooding. BMO also announced a flood relief program for its clients in the region.

"We want to assist our customers and residents of the communities that are being affected, and we hope that these initiatives will help alleviate some of the difficulties they face," said Robert Hayes, Senior Vice President, Prairies Division, BMO Bank of Montreal.

The BMO Bank of Montreal Flood Relief Program includes:

• Personal loan payments deferrals - various options.
• Personal mortgages - deferral of the principal and interest payments for a period of two months.
• Special accommodations for commercial clients affected by the flooding are being developed on a case-by-case basis.

"We've always stood behind our customers, through good times and challenging times, and we are ready to assist qualifying BMO personal and business customers by deferring payments on their loans, mortgages or lines of credit," added Lynda Taylor, District Vice President, Manitoba and Northwest Ontario.
