- Team vying to win grand prize including $125,000 field refurbishment

- Ramblers have selected Special Olympics PEI as recipient of $500 donation from BMO

CHARLOTTETOWN, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND--(Marketwire - June 26, 2012) - The Eliot River U-12 Ramblers will be rallying the community and celebrating their recent win as BMO Team of the Week at the BMO Charlottetown Mall branch this Thursday, June 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Ramblers supporters and community members are invited to watch as the Ramblers receive BMO Team of the Week tracksuits and a $500 team prize. The celebration will also include the presentation of a $500 cheque to Special Olympics PEI, which the Ramblers have selected to receive a donation from BMO as part of the win.

"This team has focused on developing as players," said Allison Hakomaki, District Vice President, New Brunswick and P.E.I., BMO Bank of Montreal. "They also work to help other players develop through programs such as Special Olympics PEI - all in an effort to grow as a team. BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. Fifteen weekly winners will be named BMO Team of the Week starting April 18, and entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians as BMO Team of the Week 2012 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field; a road trip to a Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Montreal Impact FC, or Canadian National Team home game; and a $5,000 donation to the team's charity of choice.
