BMO Fountain of Hope, Employees’ Foundation to Assist Badger Flood Victims  

 

BMO Fountain of Hope, Employees’ Foundation, BMO Financial Group today announced that it will contribute $10,000 to help the Canadian Red Cross in its relief efforts for the flood victims of the town of Badger in Central Newfoundland.

This follows a $25,000 donation by BMO Financial Group announced on Tuesday, February 18th.  BMO Bank of Montreal branches in Newfoundland and throughout Atlantic Canada are also accepting donations from the public to help the hundreds of Badger residents who have been driven from their homes. As well, BMO Bank of Montreal has introduced a “Financial Relief Program” for victims of the flooding.

“We hope this BMO employees’ initiative will help Badger residents in this time of need, said Dave Robinson, Area Manager for Western Newfoundland at BMO Bank of Montreal, on behalf of BMO Fountain of Hope.  This reflects the level of caring of our employees across the country.”

BMO Fountain of Hope is the national association of the employees and pensioned employees of BMO Financial Group, dedicated to supporting registered charities in their communities. Founded in 1999, BMO Fountain of Hope has raised during Campaign 2002, $6.2 million through the efforts of its six regional chapters and the generosity of BMO Financial Group employees and customers.
