Media Advisory - BMO Financial Group Employees to Present more than $860,000 to 36 GTA Charities Tonight
Executives and employees of BMO Financial Group and thirty six charitable organizations throughout the GTA will gather tonight at BMO Financial Group’s offices at First Canadian Place to celebrate the culmination of more than a year of charitable fund-raising by BMO Fountain of Hope, Employees’ Foundation and to disburse $860,000 among 36 GTA charitable organizations.

Their work with the Fountain of Hope is a source of pride for all of us, both here in Ontario and indeed throughout the country,” said Pam Robertson, Executive Vice-President, Ontario Division, BMO Bank of Montreal.
“Our employees across Canada collectively raised more than $6 million during the 2002 Fountain of Hope campaign. More than $4 million of this was raised just in Ontario – a substantial total, to be sure,” said Jackie Irvine, Senior Vice President, Direct Banking, BMO Bank of Montreal.

the Alzheimer Society, the Autism Society, Casey House Foundation, Covenant House, the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation, the Hospital for Sick Children, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Ontario, the Markham – Stouffville Hospital Foundation, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Rouge Valley Health System Foundation, the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital Foundation, the Salvation Army – Ontario Central Division, the Sunnybrook Foundation, the York Central Hospital Foundation, and the United Way of Greater Toronto.

Fountain of Hope is a national charitable foundation that is owned and managed by BMO Financial Group employees. In 2002, BMO employees helped to raise $6.2 million for more than 2,200 charities. Their efforts support national federated charities such as United Way and Centraide as well as national and local charities that focus on children, health and community service.
