BMO Financial Group and its employee charitable foundation, BMO Fountain of Hope, today announced combined contributions of $25,000 to the Canadian Red Cross, BC Forest Fires Response Fund for relief efforts for communities affected by severe forest fires.
“We want to help people cope with this disaster, and we will work with all levels to help alleviate the difficulties being faced by the affected communities,” said Don Marr, Vice-President, BC Central and Interior, BMO Bank of Montreal.
The Canadian Red Cross, BC Forest Fires Relief Fund provides long-term recovery services to help bridge gaps in assistance that are not met by government or insurance facilities.
BMO Financial Group will continue to work with its affected customers to assess their needs as they evolve.
