BMO Fountain of Hope Launches First National Fundraising Day on October 8th, 2003

BMO Fountain of Hope, the employees’ foundation of BMO Financial Group, launches its first national fundraising day on October 8th.  This one-day celebration of giving demonstrates the united commitment of BMO employees across Canada to giving back to our communities.

Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate with our friends and families, but it is also a time to reflect upon others who are less fortunate. Branches and departments of BMO Financial Group and its 26,000 Canadian employees will host a variety of fundraising activities, such as raffles, bake and book sales, food bank drops and lunches, in hundreds of locations throughout Canada. Customers of the Bank and the general public are invited to visit a BMO location on October 8th to make a contribution.  All funds raised in each location will be designated to local charities such as, The Arthritis Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, Children's Hospitals, Food Banks, Kids Help Phone, and United Way Agencies.
