BMO Bank of Montreal today announced it is changing fixed residential mortgage rates effective October 16, 2003. The new rates are:

| 4 year | 6.20 % | 0.25 % |
| 5 year | 6.50 % | 0.35 % |
| 6 year | 5.65 % | 0.35 % |
| 7 year | 7.45 % | 0.20 % |
| 10 year | 6.45 % | 0.35 % |
| 18 year open | 8.90 % | 0.30 % |
(The interest on fixed rate mortgages compounds semi-annually, not in advance.)
Variable rates are as follows:
