Harris Nesbitt, the U.S. investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group, announced today that it has hired Louis Nardi as a Managing Director in its New York-based High Yield Research Group.

With more than 25 years of research experience, Mr. Nardi will be responsible for covering energy (exploration & production companies, refiners and oil service companies), chemicals, utilities and special situation credits.  He will report to Steve Dondero, Managing Director and Head of U.S. High Yield Research.

“Lou adds significant experience to our high-yield research group and covers industries important to our high yield strategy,” said Mr. Dondero.  “Recruiting Lou is further evidence of our commitment to provide quality high yield research to our clients.”

Mr. Nardi joins Harris Nesbitt from Fieldstone Capital Group where he focused on similar industry sectors and special situations.  Previously, he was Director of Research at Credit Lyonnais Securities and at Nomura Securities.  Mr. Nardi, who is a CFA, has a MBA in Finance from New York University and a BA in Economics from Rutgers University. 

Mr. Nardi is the latest key hire to be named to the U.S. High Yield Research Group.  Last month Amil Schiaffino joined as a Managing Director covering the consumer products, food & beverage, healthcare and textile & apparel sectors.
