Pro and Junior Golfers Help Start the Countdown to the 2004 BMO Financial Group Canadian Women's Open on June 29th
Join local professional and junior golfers, BMO Financial Group and the Royal Canadian Golf Association in Niagara Falls to begin the countdown to Canada’s only LPGA Tour event. Canadian pro, Theresa McDermott of Toronto, will be on-hand to talk about her recent exemption into the Canadian Women’s Open through her performance on the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women's Tour.
Following a briefing from Theresa and officials with the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women’s Open, media are invited to have some lunch, analyze their swings and test their skills with local pros and young golfers from the BMO Financial Group Future Links Junior Golf program.
The public is also invited to putt, drive and chip their way through the series of skill-testing games to win one of many golf prizes, while enjoying some live music and a BBQ lunch. Part of the proceeds from the BBQ will go to Future Links, a national development program designed to make the game more accessible for young golfers aged 5 to 18.
