Harris Nesbitt Hires Dick Hurd, Head of Boston Equity Sales To Expand the firm’s Research Sales Capabilities in the New England Area

Harris Nesbitt, the U.S. investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group, announced today the appointment of Richard (Dick) Hurd as Managing Director, U.S. Equity Sales. Located in Harris Nesbitt’s Boston office, Mr. Hurd will expand the firm’s research sales efforts in the New England marketplace and build a three to four person sales team.

The Harris Nesbitt Equity Research team currently covers 250 North American public companies and the Institutional Trading department is a market maker in more than 330 stocks.

Mr. Hurd has worked exclusively in Boston’s financial services community for more than 20 years. He joins Harris Nesbitt from Fulcrum Global Partners, where he managed the Boston office since 2003. Previously, he was a Director in the Equity Sales Group of Credit Suisse First Boston and joined its predecessor firm, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, in 1994. Mr. Hurd earned an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a B.A. from Hampshire College in Amherst.
