Pro and Junior Golfers Help Kick-off the 2005 BMO Financial Group Canadian Women’s Open on July 11th
Join local professional and junior golfers, BMO Financial Group, the Royal Canadian Golf Association and the Downtown Halifax Business Commission at Grand Parade to kick-off Canada’s only LPGA Tour event.
Following brief remarks from senior officials with the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women’s Open, Jocelyne Bourassa, the only Canadian to ever win a Canadian Women’s Open, will talk about the Canadians playing in this year’s Open and what to expect tournament week.
After the briefing, media are invited to swing their way through a series of skill-testing games with some expert advice from local pros and young golfers from the BMO Financial Group Future Links Junior Golf program. There will also be live music, featuring Evans & Doherty with Dave McIssac, and a BBQ lunch will be served up by guest chefs, including Halifax Mayor Peter Kelly.
