BMO Investments Announces Termination of BMO RSP Global Science & Technology Fund
In response to the passing of new legislation that eliminated the foreign property restrictions, BMO Investments Inc. announced today that it will be terminating the BMO RSP Global Science & Technology Fund (“RSP Clone Fund”) on or about September 2, 2005. BMO Investments will restrict purchases of this fund after August 23, 2005.
Upon the termination of the RSP Clone Fund, unitholders will effectively exchange their units of this fund for units of equal value in the BMO Global Science & Technology Fund (“Underlying Fund”). By holding units in the Underlying Fund directly, unitholders will benefit from reduced investing costs.
BMO Investments Inc. is a member of BMO Financial Group and part of the organization’s Private Client Group. The Private Client Group provides integrated wealth management services in Canada and the United States and has total assets under management and administration and term investments of $290 billion as at April 30, 2005.
