      BMO Bank of Montreal Increases CDN$ Prime Lending Rate to 5.00 Per Cent  

      TORONTO, December 6, 2005 – BMO Bank of Montreal today announced it is increasing its CDN$ prime lending rate from 4.75 per cent to 5.00 per cent, effective December 7, 2005.
