BMO Fountain of Hope Plays Santa to Several Edmonton Area Community Groups Season of Giving Celebrates its Third Year  

EDMONTON, December 13, 2005 – On Thursday, December 15th, 2005, BMO Fountain of Hope, the employees’ charitable foundation of BMO Financial Group, proudly presents for the third year the Season of Giving philanthropic event. 

The Edmonton Main Office Branch of BMO Bank of Montreal will host this celebratory event where 13 local Edmonton area charitable organizations will receive significant financial support from BMO Fountain of Hope to help them continue meeting the various and urgent needs of the community.

Grant Bennett, Vice President, Edmonton, BMO Bank of Montreal, and Pat Hancock, BMO Fountain of Hope Vice-Chair for Alberta, will be on-hand along with representatives of the charities.

Charities Receiving Funds at the 2005 Season of Giving Celebration:

  • Bissell Centre
  • Christmas Bureau of Edmonton
  • EdmontonHot Lunch Program
  • EdmontonYouth Emergency Shelter
  • KARA Family Support Centre
  • Kid’s Kottage – Edmonton
  • Kids with Cancer Society
  • The Support Network
  • Win House

Four Food Banks, in Edmonton, St. Albert, Spruce Grove and Strathcona will also benefit from the BMO Fountain of Hope donations. It is especially important at this time of year to remember those who are less fortunate by donating food items at any of the local Food Banks.
